Position: Digital Marketing Manager

NH Research (NHR) designs and manufactures test solutions for electrical power conversion products used in the automotive, computer, industrial, aviation and defense industries. NHR has been in this business for over 50-years. More recently, NHR has focused on test equipment for the transportation electrification and renewable energy markets where exponential growth is being driven by governments that are mandating clean energy solutions to fight pollution and global warming. NHR has leveraged its core technologies to develop several new products for this market including testers for battery characterization, battery charger performance, electrical grid simulation, and solar inverter test. The products are generally considered best-in-class and provide the performance, simplicity, and safety that engineers and researchers desire. NHR is located in Irvine, CA and has a facility in Shenzhen, China.

Position
Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for creation of the core assets used in messaging and branding with a focus on the areas below:

  • Website: Overall responsibility for the design, content, and sales-lead-generation effectiveness of the Company’s website using inside and outside resources.
  • Digital Content Creation for Product and Application Literature: Within the boundaries of a Company standard template, establish the product value proposition along with supporting text, illustrations and specifications. The highly technical nature of the Company’s products usually limits effectiveness of subcontracting this essential task to outside firms.
  • Trade Shows: Oversee trade show design, booth selection, promotion and messaging worldwide. Develop show related presentation material including booth graphics. Ensure that we have strong awareness and preference for test solutions in target markets.
  • Demand Generation: Create and execute outbound demand generation tactics and establish a proactive sales lead development function (i.e., primarily through internet research, Linked-In Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, etc. to find and qualify leads for NHR Sales personnel)

Requirements
BA / BS in related field. 5-years of experience leading a digital marketing group for very technical, high-value solutions primarily sold to engineers and researchers. Excellent written communications skills are required to create quality content and differentiate NHR solutions. Familiarity with SEM / SEO, email marketing programs, CRM tools, and social media is important. Successful experience effectively functioning within a rapidly growing but still relatively small company environment. A hands-on style that adds value to the many facets of the position is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and writing high quality content for a technical audience
  • Planning digital marketing campaigns including web, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media and advertising
  • Coordinating and Managing WW Trade Shows
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Demand generation including sales development function

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Content Marketing and Creation (videos, social, email marketing, web content, blogs, application notes, whitepapers, webinars, etc.)
  • Analytical abilities – analyze metrics and work with Google Analytics
  • Paid Social Media Experience
  • Sales Skills – Be Persuasive; Sales Experience is a plus
  • Marketing Channel Expertise with Web, Trade Shows, Social Media, Webinars, email marketing, and SEM/SEO (Google AdWords)
  • The ability to execute and analyze drip marketing campaigns
  • Creativity abilities including good copy and visual storytelling abilities

Position: China Sales Manager (Irvine based)

The products are generally considered best-in-class and have been successfully introduced to the North American market. NHR is located in Irvine, CA and has an office in Shenzhen, China.

Position
Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing in Irvine, the China Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activities in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan currently handled through a well-established team of 5 direct China Nationals based in Shenzhen. Supplementing this team are 8 independent sales representatives throughout the territory. We are looking for a candidate with a winning attitude and a customer focused, growth oriented, get it done mindset to grow the business and team in China. Effective management is expected to take at least 30% of time spent within Territory.

Job Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MBA is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Successful experience effectively functioning within a rapidly growing but still relatively small company environment. A hands-on style that adds value to the many facets of the position is essential.
  • 5-years of experience leading a sales team for very technical, high-value equipment primarily sold to engineers
  • Successful track record of achieving sales goals and meeting expense budgets
  • Ability to create and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and quarterly strategic plan updates
  • Sales training experience and sales process expertise (Miller Heiman, etc.) is highly desirable
  • Background in power electronics, batteries and EVs preferred
  • Experience with a CRM to organize customer information, identify and track all sales opportunities
  • Candidate must be familiar with technical solution selling where an intimate understanding of prospective customers testing requirements is required
